The yarns and crafts that we sell are created by the Irish crafters, featured below. They work almost exclusively with fleece and fibre sourced locally. Read about them and their crafts, and you are likely to see them teaching one of your classes.

Sandra King,

Meet the Wool

My husband and I settled in Ireland in 2005 after having spent all our lives in North Carolina. To go from city life to Irish country life was quite a change, but no regrets.

I had always loved textiles and was an enthusiastic knitter and crocheter. Then I learned to spin my own yarns, which led to keeping sheep.

We started with three, now have five, and most of my products are made from their fleeces. When I do need more, I am careful to source it from farms as locally as possible.

I use lots of botanicals and natural materials for dyeing, which I find in my garden and in the hedgerows nearby. I get inspiration for my yarns and knitted garments from colourful flowers in my garden and textures of the Burren landscape, all of which I can see from my cottage and studio.

I also love teaching the traditional fibre crafts of spinning, weaving and dyeing to others.

Sandra Marschall

Hello, my name is Sandra Marschall. I am originally from Germany but living almost 20 years in Ireland.

I always liked to create something with my hands and love nature.

I started my journey with wool about 1 and a half years ago. I learned how to spin and felt and I absolutely got hooked on doing these crafts. I felt pretty but practical items, such as baskets, vessels, seat cushions and many more. I also give workshops and really enjoy it.
