Are you curious about what colours you can get from nature for your wools and for your crafts? Would you like to produce your own colours for your weaving or knitting
project?
This natural dying workshop will introduce you to the tools and skills you need to prepare and dye your wool successfully
Forage for plants
Learn about mordants
Learn how to prepare a dye bath
Dye 2 skeins of wool to take home with you for your next project.
Who is this for?
You can start as a total beginner. Sandra, the instructor, will guide you through each step.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring wet weather gear and a packed lunch.
Please note:
Classes and workshops are limited in size, please book early to avoid
disappointment
Materials are provided for all workshops and classes. Tea, coffee, biscuits provided, but you will need to bring your own lunch.
Public transport: the 51 bus (Cork/Galway) stops in Crusheen village, which is 3 miles from the class. If you need transport to Ballinruan, contact me via email or text at 085 1430650.
