Introduction to Weaving
SUNDAY 2 APRIL 12 NOON TO 5PM
This class will start you off on your weaving adventure. You will learn how to wind a warp and thread it onto a rigid heddle loom. Then you will be guided through the process of starting your first woven project. Each student will need to bring a rigid heddle loom, table clamp/loom stand, warp yarn, and threading hook (if you have one or just bring a small crochet hook). This is a practice, so the yarn can be anything you may have at hand.
There will be a break and coffee, tea, and biscuits will be provided.

Public transport: the 51 bus (Cork/Galway) stops right in front of the Irish Fibre Crafters studio just about every hour, daily. Ardrahan train station (with occasional times) is a 5 minute drive from the studio, but it is a road with no good verge, so please let us bring you from/to the station rather than attempt the walk.Driving? Irish Fibre Crafters is just 5 minutes off of the Ardrahan exit
